Chiropractic Care That Goes Beyond Pain Relief | Zone Technique Chiropractor in Woodstock, GA
Hey everybody, Dr. John D’Ambrosio here from the Center for Life Enhancement in Woodstock, Georgia. Today we’re going to talk about pain and how we go beyond pain relief. Pain is sort of a pain for me to talk about… Because most people relate chiropractic to pain. They’ve kind of pigeon holed, or we professionals, pigeon holed ourselves into this little box where if you have neck pain, or back pain, or maybe headaches, you go to see a chiropractor. Chiropractic does helps with those things and I’m going to explain how but it’s so much more than that.
How Chiropractic Care Impacts Healing
It’s like this analogy I heard that I kind of liked. It’s like, if someone gave you a block of gold, and all you want to do is use it as a paperweight. You could live a wonderful life if you just cashed in this gold, you could have millions of dollars… but yeah, it’s a good paperweight. If you’re using chiropractic just for pain relief, you’re using chiropractic, like that gold for a paperweight. Chiropractic is amazing with pain, because it’s not treating the pain just like it’s not treating any other issue. When you have imbalances, say those muscles that the nerves go to are not functioning properly and the nerves are inflamed, there could be pain in that area. Once we balance out the nervous system, through zone technique and specific chiropractic adjustments like the cranial release technique, we gently allow the body to then function how it’s supposed to. Once those areas start to heal and function properly the pain and inflammation goes away. But just because it just works on a muscle, will it with other areas? What about the nerve areas, and the nerves that flow to organs? 11% of neuro-feedback is pain. The rest of that is controlling muscles, organs and glands. So you may be feeling an issue, but how is it affecting the rest of your body? You know, pain sucks, I’m not gonna lie. Nobody wants to be in pain, but that is just a small part of the picture. Chiropractic does so much more and yes, it does help with pain relief, but not for the reason you think. It’s not just pushing a bone back in place and all sudden “Wow, this feels better”. It’s allowing that area to heal so you can function and heal at your optimum levels. again.
